Description
Reporting to the Head of Group Reporting, the Group Accountant is responsible for managing a subset of the activities that deliver monthly financial reporting for management and investors, ensuring compliance with accounting policies, an effective close procedure, integrity of the ledgers, and clear line of sight to the underlying business activities. You will be part of a small in-house team and work closely with outsourced service providers across Europe, as well as the FP&A team. Your main responsibilities will include monthly financial reporting and consolidation, collaborating with the FP&A team to ensure financial information accurately reflects business activities, supporting UK statutory reporting and audits, and balance sheet substantiation.
Skills
The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant (ACA, CA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with strong technical skills and at least three years post-qualified experience. Previous exposure to group reporting and consolidation, ideally in an international business, is essential, while experience operating with outsourced service provision or captive shared service centres is highly desirable. With over 300 legal entities in the group, a strong focus on co-ordination and efficiency is required. You will also need outstanding problem-solving and communication skills and will be energetic and highly-motivated. Experience with Sage X3 would also be beneficial.
