Our client is a highly acquisitive investment group, seeking to appoint a Financial Controller for the first time. It is an excellent time to join as the firm has recently listed and is at the outset of quite an exciting period of planned growth. The appointee will oversee a small team, directly support the CFO/COO and build strong working relationships with the portfolio company finance teams.
Responsibilities
The duties and responsibilities for this Financial Controller role include but are not limited to:
- Leading the production of the monthly/quarterly consolidated financial statements and board pack, including corresponding commentary and review of key consolidation reconciliations.
- Ensuring all external reporting requirements are met in a timely, accurate manner
- Delivering a ‘best in class’ control environment
- Overseeing the annual audit process
- Working closely with the CFO/COO on finance projects, to ensure scaleable systems, processes and controls are put into place to support the growth of the business
- Mentoring and managing a small team
Skills
The appointee for this Financial Controller role must be a qualified accountant (audit trained ACA strongly preferred) with experience working as a Finance Manager, Financial Controller or equivalent in a listed corporate or listed investment fund in London.
