Our client, an investment manager focused on the infrastructure sector, is looking for an Interim Senior Associate to work in their Funds Finance team covering maternity leave. The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant with relevant experience in the funds space. It is initially a nine month assignment with the possibility to extend.
Description
The responsibilities of the Interim Senior Associate, Funds Finance include but are not limited to:
- Manage the month-end processes for the various funds.
- Ensure all external reporting deadlines are met.
- Review monthly performance reporting, including performance attribution produced by the Administrators.
- Coordinate the quarterly reporting process with the Administrators.
- Manage the settlement process to ensure acquisitions are funded and cash settled on time.
- Review and seek sign off on the debt valuations each month.
- Process improvement; develop and document a strong control environment.
- Assist on ad hoc projects.
- Oversee and review the junior Fund Accountant’s work.
Skills
The skills of the Interim Senior Associate, Funds Finance include but are not limited to:
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent), with relevant PQE experience.
- Previous experience in fund accounting.
- Excellent communicator, experience of working with Administrators.
- Strong Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and enjoys process improvement.
