Our client is a Private Equity backed, multi-site business and the largest provider in its field of specialist consumer services globally. The Company has over 200 sites across Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom and Canada, is a market leader and has significant plans for further international expansion.
Description
Operating out of c.50 sites, the international business is seeking an experienced Finance Director to lead a small, but very capable finance function for the UK and Canadian markets. You will work alongside the COO, International and report into the Group CFO based in Australia. This highly commercial, operational leader will apply expertise in finance transformation, process improvement and cost management, and will be confident working in a consumer facing, multi-site business that is both corporate and franchised. The Finance Director will business partner with the COO on financial plans, budgeting and all reporting and have responsibility for financial control, including reporting, statutory and site accounting as well as audit for the UK and Canada.
In addition, you will oversee all financial planning and analysis, business case development and play a pivotal role on commercial decision support. Key to the role is the improvement of cash flow management and instigation of significant changes and improvements to financial processes, team structure and stakeholder engagement, both internally and externally.
Skills
The ideal candidate for this Finance Director role will be a graduate qualified accountant, ACA/ACCA/CA/CIMA/CPA or equivalent and will have senior finance experience, ideally as number one in finance or managing a divisional finance function. You will have ideally worked in a similar franchise or multi-site organisation of scale and have prior experience working within a private equity backed company. You should be able to lead the international finance function strategically and commercially along with ensuring all statutory and regulatory requirements are met.
In addition, you should be a strong team player and enjoy working in an open and collaborative environment with the ability to work autonomously when needed and as part of a cross functional geographically dispersed team. You will have gravitas, and credibility with senior management and the necessary interpersonal skills to collaborate with stakeholders across the business.
