The successful Accounts Payable Manager will be experienced in leading the accounts payable process and have experience ensuring that invoices are paid on time, liaising with agents, contractors and managing a team of Accounts Payable Assistants. The ideal candidate will be immediately available.

The successful Accounts Payable Manager will be experienced in leading the accounts payable process and have experience ensuring that invoices are paid on time, liaising with agents, contractors and managing a team of Accounts Payable Assistants. The ideal candidate will be immediately available.

Description

The roles and responsibilities of the Accounts Payable Manager include, but are not limited to:

  • Preparing, reviewing and creating of payment runs for review by the senior finance team.
  • Strong understanding and experience of risk mitigation (controls) in the accounts payable process.
  • Liaising with suppliers to ensure statement reconciliations are conducted on time and outstanding queries are settled quickly.
  • Managing a team of 4 offshore members of staff to ensure all invoices are paid on time.
  • Owning and driving improvements in the supplier processes and workflows.
  • Strong mailbox management and organisation.
  • Experience of leading AP assistants.
  • Establishing and maintaining strong working relationships with key stakeholders and employees across the organisation.
  • Lead the expenses, credit card and corporate account process.

Skills

The skills required for the Accounts Payable Manager include, but are not limited to:

  • Proven experience of managing a team of a similar size.
  • Knowledge of Excel and SAP BusinessOne or similar large ERP system.
  • Knowledge of VAT required, awareness of CIS & IR35 desirable.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and proven ability to develop working relationships.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability prioritise and deliver high-quality results.
  • Able to manage data confidentially.
