Our client, a prestigious brand, is seeking an interim FP&A Manager to provide financial planning and analysis that will support strategic decision-making across the company. This role requires a keen eye for detail, excellent analytical skills, and a strong ability in financial modelling and BI reporting. This is a critical role, reporting directly to the Head of Finance and the CFO. Initially for a period of 6 months, there is scope for the role to extend.
This role is office based 3 days a week (2 remote) and initially for a 6 months period, with scope to further extend. With offices in London and in the East Midlands, some time will be required in both locations.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities for this FP&A role will include but are not limited to:
- Develop and maintain comprehensive financial models to support decision-making processes and long term strategic planning.
- Generate, maintain, and automate financial reports using BI tools, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
- Analyse current and past financial data and performance, identifying trends and providing insights to key decision makers in the company.
- Prepare regular reporting packs for senior leadership.
- Collaborate with various departments to gather financial information and forecasts, ensuring alignment with corporate goals.
- Drive continuous improvement in financial reporting and data analysis standards and practices.
- Support the Head of Finance and CFO with ad-hoc analyses, presentations, and projects.
Skills
The skills and experience required for this FP&A role role include but are not limited to:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, within the retail or manufacturing sector.
- Strong proficiency in financial modelling techniques and BI tools.
- High level of expertise in MS Excel and financial planning software.
- Exceptional analytical and quantitative skills with a detailed-oriented mindset.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively with all levels of the organisation.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
