This Operations Consultant will be a key member of the Global Leadership Team responsible for overseeing operational functions, with a commitment to delivering long-term profitable growth, expansion and innovation.

This role would be to start ASAP and is initially for a period of 6 months.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities for this Operations Consultant role will include but are not limited to:

Vision & Strategy

  • Work closely with the Global Managing Partner to develop and implement strategic plans, optimise operational efficiencies, and manage best-in-class resourcing on projects.
  • Drive the execution of strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment with the business’ overall vision and mission.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify opportunities for growth and development.

Operational Leadership

  • Daily Operations: Oversee daily operations, including client service delivery, pricing, resourcing, quality control, and adherence to professional standards.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously analyse and refine business processes to reduce cost, increase profitability, improve quality and streamline operations.
  • Resource Allocation: Optimise resourcing to ensure maximum utilisation of delivery capacity globally, reducing gaps in capacity, and accuracy of forecasted utilisation.
  • Systems Integration: Continuously review and improve systems utilisation to ensure efficient management of pricing, project management, resource allocation, and auditing
    capability.
  • Reporting: Lead business dashboards and metrics reporting to strengthen clarity over performance/alignment with HC strategies and financial goals.
  • Partnership: Partner with GLT members and Partners to ensure Operations is fit for purpose, driving value and profitability, and enabling scalability.

Financial Performance and Profitable Growth

  • Partner with Finance to manage HC’s budget, forecast financial performance, and ensure cost-effective operations.
  • Monitor performance against margin to identify shortfalls by working with Finance and Regional Leaders to better control costs including identifying and executing cost savings opportunities and increase revenue and margin.
  • Implement measures to drive profitability, control costs, and maximise financial performance.
  • Optimise resource allocation to support strategic goals, including personnel, technology, and infrastructure investments.
  • Collaborate with HR on employee related costs, budgeting, forecasting of resource requirements.
  • Drive innovation in operational processes, leveraging new technologies and methodologies to stay ahead of industry trends.

  • Previous experience in a superior operational management capability within a Professional Services Firm.
  • Demonstrates leadership capability directly impacting strong P&L revenue growth and margin management.
  • Strong growth orientation and strategic skills.
  • Ability to analyse data and trends to make impactful informed decisions.
  • Strong operational command.
  • A leader with excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to provide clarity, momentum and motivation to others even in times of organisational change.
