The Technical Reporting Analyst role represents a unique opportunity to be part of the Group Reporting team delivering a comprehensive Group accounting and reporting service within the wider Group Finance function.

This Technical Reporting Analyst will be a key role within the Group Reporting team, interacting with Group senior management, the Group Reporting and Group FP&A teams, the wider Finance community as well as external auditors and advisors.

This is an 18 months maternity cover role to commence in October.

Responsibilities

The duties and responsibilities for this Technical Reporting Analyst role include but are not limited to:

  • Leading key aspects of the Group’s reporting processes including the application of the requirements of IFRS as applied by the Group and other technical aspects of reporting such as impairment reviews over intangible, tangible and right-of-use assets and going concern and viability modelling.
  • Lead Group impairment testing processes and controls.
  • Develop and manage going concern and viability models.
  • Prepare accounting papers on key financial judgements.
  • Maintain Group-wide financial policies aligned with IFRS.
  • Provide expert guidance on financial policies and controls.
  • Support market finance teams with accounting queries.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders for accurate reporting.

Skills

The skills and experience required for this Technical Reporting Analyst role include but are not limited to:

  • ACA-qualified accountant or equivalent, ideally with an audit background.
  • A minimum of 2 years post-qualified experience, ideally working within a listed company.
  • Excellent understanding of the financial processes, policies and procedures required in a listed, global group.
  • Good Excel modelling skills.
  • Technical expertise in IFRS overall.
  • Strong intellect and analytical skills.
  • Good communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to influence, challenge and persuade others through personal credibility, integrity and professionalism.
  • Comfortable dealing with Senior Management across the Group.
  • Appreciative of the cultural sensitivities of working in a highly international business.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with a wide range of people, both internal and external.
  • Strong team working skills as part of a virtual global team and face-to-face.
