Description

A rare opportunity has arisen for a Group Financial Controller to oversee the group finance function. Reporting directly to the CFO, this role will lead all the technical finance across the group, including operational finance and will also responsible for making sure all results are timely and accurate. Covering cash flow and debt management, actively managing working capital and maintaining constant dialogue with the lenders will be an essential element of this role. In addition to being the key contact for the banks, the Group Financial Controller will investigate bank account governance, with the potential to take on key projects such as VAT restructuring. The Group Financial Controller will be an important business partner to the CFO, and an authoritative and inspirational leader to a significant team. You will also be tasked with bringing meaningful ideas to the senior leadership meetings and providing a value-add service to the wider business.

Skills

Candidates for this Group Financial Controller position will need to be graduate qualified accountants (ACA/CA or equivalent) with prior experience working as a Group Financial Controller or Head of Finance either in a leveraged environment/business, or in a fully listed plc.  In additional, previous experience of working in a ‘multisite’ business would be ideal. Applicants will need to have a track record of strong team leadership, and prior experience of working in a PE backed or privately owned company, ideally one that has been through a successful exit/transaction. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to take on an exciting, value add, senior finance role in an impactful and community centred business.
