
Private Equity, Asset Management Team
Our client is a leading global private equity firm specialising in investments across corporate equity, credit and real estate assets. It has raised multiple private equity funds in it's 30 year history, with aggregate capital commitments of nearly $100 billion. We are currently recruiting for an Associate position, focused within the $5 billion European LBO fund.
The Role
Our client is seeking a Senior Associate to join the European Corporates team, supporting investments in European operating companies. The role is London-based and offers the opportunity to play a key part in both asset management and transaction execution across a diverse portfolio of businesses.
Key Responsibilities
- Private equity professional leading asset management efforts for select corporate investments
- Drive portfolio company transactions, including:
- Add-on and transformational M&A.
- Divestitures (divisional and/or geographic).
- Debt financings.
- Monetisation events.
- Partner with portfolio company management teams to execute strategic initiatives such as:
- Commercial excellence.
- Cost optimisation programs.
- Organic growth investments.
- Other special projects.
- Analyse financials to identify key drivers and trends in operating performance.
- Maintain and enhance financial models; conduct scenario analysis and support strategic planning.
- Produce monthly and quarterly fund reporting materials.
- Provide ad hoc support for the underwriting of new platform investments.
Skills & Qualifications
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in investment banking, management consulting, or private equity.
- University degree and a Master’s (preferred in Economics or Business).
- Advanced Excel financial modelling and analytical skills.
- Proficient in PowerPoint and comfortable presenting complex financial data.
- Prior experience in private equity is advantageous but not essential.
- Fluent in English (oral and written); additional European languages are a plus.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Highly organised, with an ability to prioritise and execute under tight deadlines.
- Proactive, confident, and self-motivated with a strong drive to succeed.
- Excellent prioritisation and organisational skills, ability to work and deliver under time constraints.
- Initiative and the confidence to assume responsibility.
- An outstanding attitude, with drive and a desire to succeed.
