A leading European credit investor, headquartered in London with global offices, is seeking an ESG Analyst professional to join its London team. Managing several billion in capital, the firm invests across the capital structure, including debt, direct lending, and special situations.

The firm incorporates ESG into all of its business decisions, and this ESG Analyst will be responsible for both ongoing reporting and risk management of their portfolio, as well as integrating ESG risk into at the pre-acquisition stage. There will also be the opportunity to participate and be a real voice on firm-wide ESG matters.

Description

The duties and responsibilities for this ESG Analyst role include but are not limited to:

  • Evaluate ESG risks associated with portfolio companies and potential investments, engaging external specialists as needed.
  • Contribute to the ESG team by conducting research, sharing insights, and ensuring policies and procedures align with industry best practices.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly ESG reports for investors, management, and financial partners.
  • Support the annual ESG data collection process, analysing and benchmarking portfolio company performance against key ESG metrics.
  • Gather and analyse ESG-related data from both public and private sources.
  • Assist in delivering ESG training sessions for investment and investor relations teams.
  • Develop reports and dashboards to monitor ESG portfolio performance.
  • Collaborate with the investor relations team to create ESG-related marketing materials and respond to investor inquiries.

Skills

The skills and experience required for this ESG Analyst role include but are not limited to:

  • Educated to Bachelors degree level, with a minimum 2:1.
  • 2-3 years experience in financial services, with exposure to ESG reporting or risk management processes.
  • Excellent understanding and drive for financial markets & commercial acumen, with an interest in how ESG can impact investment decisions.
  • Excellent communication and ability to manage internal stakeholders.
