Description

We are excited to be partnering with an entrepreneurial investment firm headquartered in London. Focused on backing companies that seek to transform their industries, their portfolio includes a diverse range of innovative tech-enabled businesses. With several funds under management, they have consistently delivered strong returns to investors and are nearing the close of their latest fund, which includes significant commitments from existing LPs.

As part of their strategic growth, the firm is looking to build out their off-shore presence in the Channel Islands. A key part of this expansion is the appointment of a Financial Controller, who will oversee the financial operations, reporting, and accounting for numerous Guernsey-based fund structures, building key relationships with their off-shore service providers as well as partnering daily with the London operations team.

The ideal candidate for this Fund Controller role will have experience in financial management & reporting and/or fund administration within the venture capital or investment sector, and will thrive in a highly autonomous environment.

Skills

The skills and experience required for this Fund Controller role include but are not limited to:

  • ACA / ACCA Qualified, with a strong academic background and experience working in a Top 6 accounting firm or high-performing fund administration business.
  • Experience working with private fund structures, and detailed knowledge of Guernsey accounting & practices.
  • Ability to work independently, manage own workload & partner with overseas colleagues.
  • Ability to cultivate and foster relationship with external providers and internal stakeholders.
  • Trustworthy and dependable mindset.
