Interim Financial Controller

This is an excellent opportunity for someone to gain experience in a high calibre operation, gain management experience and/or VC experience, as we are able to consider those coming from corporate or adjacent backgrounds.

Responsibilities

The duties and responsibilities for this Interim Financial Controller role include but are not limited to:

• Review of the monthly management accounts and monthly analysis, and board report.
• Review of the financial records for group entities, as well as carry/coinvest entities, and review of their financial statements.
• Responsible for cash management and reviewing FX requirements of the group, including preparation of cash flow forecasts.
• Preparation of LLP profit allocations.
• Assist with carried interest and co-investment entity administration and reporting.
• Responsible for day-to-day operation and continual improvement of the control environment and treasury management.
• Preparation of company budget and ongoing monitoring of income and costs against this, including regular Actual vs Budget reporting.
• Preparation of additional analysis and reporting for quarterly and annual management accounts.
• Interface and liaise with other teams and internal/external stakeholders: fund administrators, compliance advisors, people team, legal team, fund finance team, etc.
• Ad hoc support for CFO, including support on finance transformation projects as they arise.

Skills

The skills and experience required for this Interim Financial Controller role include but are not limited to:

• Qualified Accountant with excellent academic background and recognised period of training.
• At least 5-10 years PQE operating in a financial accounting team.
• Working knowledge of Venture Capital fund structures desirable not essential.
• Management experience desirable.
• Can-do attitude, personable & excellent communication skills.
