Venture Capital

Our client invests in pre-seed ventures across the education technology space, with aims of democratising access to education by working with some of the world's leading entrepreneurs and founders. They are currently embarking on their next stage of growth, having raised their latest fund and consolidating the team by hiring their first Finance & Operations Manager.

The business is highly ambitious, passionate about their industry, and has a deep community  across the space which enables them access to the very best founders and start-ups. They aim to raise their subsequent fund in 2026, by which time they hope to have a robust CFO in place who is deeply ingrained in their network.

With the closure of their latest fund, there is a palpable and unique opportunity to help shape and define the firm’s future by building a best-in-class operations function. Working across finance, fundraising, investing and ESG, the Finance & Operations Manager will have a clear and open runway to progress into the firm’s CFO.

The opportunity exists for an dynamic qualified ACA from an accountancy practice firm (either at the Assistant Manager or Manager level) to start their career in industry ahead of their peers, gaining experience across all aspects of venture capital and working alongside founders daily. The right candidate will consider themselves creative, highly adaptable and resourceful, and will able to thrive in a busy and sometimes challenging environment.

Background

  • Qualified ACA from a Top 6 accounting firm, preferably with some post-qualified experience or demonstrable background in managing stakeholders.
  • Degree educated with minimum 2:1.
  • Mature mindset and approach to working.
  • Ability to work independently and to lead a function, whilst knowing when to ask for support from external advisors.
  • Passion for the intersection of early stage investing and the future of learning and work would be a big plus.
