Our client is a leading British Private Equity firm with a 25 year track record investing into a variety of industries. Due to a period of successful fund-raising, they are now looking to add additional resource to help support the subsequent deployment by hiring a new Fund Accountant.

The firm’s strategy is to make large buyout investments into sectors such as healthcare, TMT and business services, and supports growth from the time of acquisition through to exit for a typical period of 5-10 years.

They have grown organically over their lifespan, but more recently expanded into Asia and the US as the latest step in their journey.

Despite significant capital under management and growing infrastructure globally, the London-based finance team is lean and will allow for lots of exposure across all of their funds (all of which are at differing life styles) in a broad fund accounting role. This will cover managing the outsourced fund administrators, modelling, valuations, assisting deal transactions and other ad-hoc tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting with the reporting of co-investment portfolios.
  • Assisting with investment transactions and publishing quarterly valuations.
  • Working closely with Fund administrators in Luxembourg to manage LP. registers and the preparation of drawdown or distribution notices.
  • Assisting with the co-investment allocations process.
  • Supporting the team with ad-hoc administrative tasks such as opening bank accounts, organising for documents to be signed, managing VIQ or other compliance requirements.

Background

  • ACA qualified either from a Top 20 accountancy firm or Big 4 firm.
  • Audit experience with some exposure to accounts prep and tax desirable.
  • Confident with Excel and managing large volumes of data.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and work towards tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of team.
  • Any experience of PowerBI is preferred.
