Our client is a large investor, looking for an Investment Manager with prior deal experience to join a small and collaborative investment team based in Hamburg.
Description
This would be a great opportunity to join a close-knit and hard-working investment team with exposure to all aspects of the Private Equity process, including:
- Origination: Coming up with new investment ideas and looking for pro-active opportunities.
- Commercial: Assisting in developing a hypothesis and assessment of value and risk.
- Project Management & Organisation: Running specific areas and delivering end product.
- Technical: Applying strong financial modelling and analytical skills to the transaction process.
- Negotiation: Developing insights and supporting areas of negotiation.
- Portfolio/Turnaround Management: Working on improvement projects, as part of a team and independently.
- Communication: Writing and presentations, putting into practice strong oral and presentation skills, liaising with Management Teams.
Skills
The ideal candidate will likely possess some or all of the following:
- Three years minimum of experience investing at a Private Equity fund, with additional prior experience in either investment banking or strategy consulting highly likely
- First rate interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent prioritisation and organisational skills, ability to work and deliver under time constraints
- Initiative and the confidence to assume responsibility and leadership from the start
- An outstanding attitude, with drive and a desire to succeed
- Business fluency in German is required for this role.
