Our client is a listed financial services group that is currently engaged in a buy and build in it’s specialist sector, led by a highly experienced and successful management team. With a significant high-quality acquisition already completed and a highly select group of supportive institutional investors, the company is well positioned to take the next step in achieving it’s stated aim of building the market leading position in it’s sector.
Description
To support this strategy, the Group CFO is looking to recruit an experienced Group Financial Controller capable of taking over all aspects of Group Financial Control, Group FP&A and provide support on intended additional M&A activity. You will also provide financial business partnering and technical financial support to acquired Group companies. The role will be standalone initially, working closely with the CFO, who has a strong M&A background, but will have close interaction with business unit finance teams.
Skills
Candidates for this Group Financial Controller role should have high quality backgrounds, potentially with experience gained in larger Blue Chip companies, but it is important that you have made the move into a smaller company already and have a broad skill set covering all aspects of finance. Prior experience gained in a listed and/or regulated environment would be preferred, although the business does also have a significant private equity investor and operates in a private equity style.
This is an ideal opportunity for a high-quality finance generalist to join an acquisitive listed Group, working with an experienced management team, in what is a well-rounded role and ideal preparation for taking on a first CFO role within either a listed or private equity backed business.
