Our client is a high growth Biotech start up developing more accessible and efficient methods of gene therapy to treat cancer. Having successfully raised significant funds, and with a commercial launch planned for early 2025, they are now looking to scale the finance function by recruiting a Finance Manager to support the Financial Controller and Chief Financial Officer.
Description
The business is going from strength to strength and has strong backing to realise it’s growth ambitions. Due to this growth and the anticipated commercial launch of the business, a Finance Manager role has been created to continue bringing the finance function in-house. This person will report to the Financial Controller and will be a key member of the finance team responsible for all the day to day finance and liaising with stakeholders across the business. Responsibilities will include month end processes and day-to-day financial management alongside the maintenance and creation of policies and controls, and support with developing functions as the business moves towards commercial launch. This is a key hire into the finance team and will work closely with a high quality Financial Controller and Chief Financial Officer in a collaborative environment.
Skills
The successful candidate for this Finance Manager role will be a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA or equivalent) with experience working with smaller, growing businesses within industry. This role will require candidates to have experience with Accounts Receivable and Inventory/Stock, these skills will be key to the function as it develops during the commercialisation of the company. Individuals must have an interest in Biotech or medical device development and be able to bring that interest to a company making a significant contribution to cancer treatment.
