Our client, a highly successful property group, is looking for an experienced Finance Manager to work in a broad role as part of a high-profile team. Reporting to the Financial Controller and working in a team of eight, the successful candidate will take ownership of accounting and management information as required for their relevant portfolio. Starting ASAP, this is a twelve-month FTC which is likely to lead to a permanent role.

Reporting to the Financial Controller and working in a team of eight, the successful candidate will take ownership of accounting and management information as required for their relevant portfolio. Starting ASAP, this is a twelve-month FTC which is likely to lead to a permanent role.

Description

Responsibilities for this Finance Manager role include but are not limited to:
  • Preparing quarterly reports and management accounting for the relevant portfolio.
  • Looking after the general ledger for the relevant portfolio.
  • Performing quarterly loan covenant compliance reporting.
  • Evaluating the financial covenant of prospective tenants to assist Investment Managers with recommendations on security levels as required.
  • Reporting directly to and working closely with the Financial Controller / Head of Finance in engaging with Investment Managers and stakeholders on the interpretation of quarterly and statutory reports.
  • Communicating and engaging with external auditors in multiple jurisdictions.
  • Assisting in the preparation of statutory accounts under UK GAAP and IFRS for UK and EU entities.
  • Analysing property letting information and capital expenditure to understand cash and profit performance on the relevant portfolio.

Skills

The skills and experience required for this Finance Manager role include but are not limited to:
  • Qualified Accountant with previous experience in consolidations and corporate structures.  Ideally 3-5 years PQE.
  • Property or Funds experience is a distinct advantage.
  • Ability to communicate with financial and non-financial people, and interpret data in a logical manner.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to communicate effectively to build and maintain positive relationships.
  • Must demonstrate commercial awareness and be able to prioritise tasks effectively.
