Our client is an instantly recognisable and respected British brand. A listed PLC they are currently embracing a new strategy allowing them to build on hundreds of years of successful trading. To support this change they are looking to add a Head of Group Reporting to a strong Head Office team.
Description
Reporting to the Group Chief Accountant with significant exposure to other senior finance and non-finance stakeholders, the Head of Group Reporting will be responsible for leading and developing four direct reports, all of whom are qualified accountants. This role will have ownership of the group’s multicurrency consolidation process, monthly management reporting, and the planning & execution of the interim and year end external reporting and audit. In addition, the role will manage the Group accounting policies and all technical aspects of the Group financial statement. Lastly, there will be continued improvement of the Group’s ESG/sustainability reporting capabilities along with ad hoc projects to support the wider business.
Skills
The ideal candidate is likely to be a qualified ACA or equivalent with a proven track record in the reporting/consolidations function of a multi-currency, multi-site listed group. Key to success is the ability to manage multiple stakeholders while ensuring processes are maintained, compliance is upheld, and financial information is presented clearly, confidently and concisely. Strong aptitude for financial systems along with high proficiency in Excel will be vital. Experience using Oracle FCCS or HFM consolidation software would be advantageous.
