Our client is a highly successful investor in mid-market private equity opportunities in Western Europe. Headquartered in London but with an office in Munich, the team has built up an impressive track record of returns for investors over the course of previous funds, and is now looking to add a talented individual to join their investment team.
Description
As an Investment Associate, you will be involved in all aspects of the private equity life-cycle, including:
- Research and mapping of sectors, sub-sectors and specific investment targets.
- Analysis of deal opportunities.
- The entire deal execution process.
- Post-deal implementation of strategy and subsequent monitoring, in close collaboration with management.
- The exit process.
The team is close-knit and has a collaborative culture. You will be working in small deal teams and will enjoy broad exposure from day one. The firm has a generalist approach to sector coverage, but has particular expertise in Tech and TMT. The firm likes to invest in complex situations, where rapid, sustainable growth can be achieved.
Skills
- The ideal candidate for this Investment Associate will have begun their career working either in investment banking (M&A) or within a strategy consulting firm. Exposure to private equity transactions from an advisory perspective is also useful.
- This role will require strong technical skills and strong commercial acumen.
- Candidates should be driven and self-motivated, but at the same time, enjoy working as part of a small close-knit team.
- Business proficiency in German is required for this role.
