The successful candidate will have sole ownership of the credit control process ensuring timely payments from clients, maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the finance team in achieving it's objectives. The successful candidate will have sole ownership of the credit control process ensuring timely payments from clients, maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the finance team in achieving it's objectives. This is a crucial role and requires strong communication skills and a positive, friendly attitude.

Responsibilities

The responsibilities of the Credit Controller role include but are not limited to:

  • Managing the company’s credit and collections processes.
  • Ensuring timely payments from clients, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting the finance team in achieving its objectives.
  • Playing a crucial role in safeguarding the company’s cash flow and minimising financial risk by effectively managing customer accounts and resolving any issues related to billing and payments.
  • Working closely with the sales team and other internal stakeholders.
  • Posting daily cash transactions to ensure accurate financial records.
  • Sending monthly statements to customers for all entities, maintaining clear communication.
  • Chasing overdue payments via phone and email, ensuring timely collections.
  • Handling and resolving customer queries, providing excellent service.
  • Updating and maintaining customer records in the system, ensuring data accuracy.
  • Assisting in the billing process to ensure timely and accurate invoicing.

Skills

The skills and experience for the Credit Controller role include but are not limited to:

  • Previous credit control experience is essential.
  • Proven experience with NetSuite or similar ERP platforms.
  • Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and financial processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively under pressure and consistently meet deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
