Due to natural progression within the team, the UK Corporate Finance function is now looking to hire a recently-qualified accountant with transactions experience.

Description

Sitting within the small but highly-active corporate finance team, the new Commercial Associate will have a broad range of responsibilities in support of our client’s strong M&A pipeline. Specifically, the successful candidate will conduct financial due diligence, work on investment analysis to support investment and strategic decisions, compiling high quality presentations for senior stakeholders, conducting economic appraisals of market or commercial scenarios through financial modelling, and monitoring changes to the commodity and energy markets. Additional responsibilities may include ad hoc corporate finance and business development activity, such as valuation modelling and working capital analysis.

Skills

The successful candidate for this M&A Analyst role will be a recently qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA or equivalent) with first class academics and strong financial modelling skills, with experience gained in either transaction services, valuations, M&A or a modelling team. As you’ll be working across all levels within the Group, effective communication and organisational skills are essential. Previous experience of the energy sector, infrastructure, or commodity markets is not essential but would be seen as desirable.
