A graduate of St Andrews University, he commenced his career with Price Waterhouse in London and joined Walker Hamill in 1989.
Originally Head of Commerce and Industry with specialisations in retail, advertising and FD appointments within both Blue Chip and Private Equity backed companies, he became Head of the UK businesses in 1998, before becoming Joint Managing Director in 2000. He co-led the MBO of Walker Hamill in 2002.

He joined the firm in 1993 and has conducted numerous recruitment assignments and searches in finance, corporate finance and private equity.
He has led the firm's Private Equity and Advisory team from inception and his clients include firms such as Cinven, BC Partners, Permira, Charterhouse and Advent International. He co-led Walker Hamill through an MBO in 2002. He is a graduate of Loughborough University.

Nikki Bowring joined Walker Hamill in 1998. She graduated from York University in 1995 and has extensive experience of placing finance professionals at all levels on an interim and non-qualified permanent basis.
Tim Smith | Head of Banking & Capital Markets Division
Tim Smith joined Walker Hamill in 2002 in order to establish a dedicated team, focusing on recruitment into Debt Finance and Debt Capital Markets.
After beginning his career in the Royal Navy, Tim worked for 12 years at Michael Page City, latterly as a director, focussing on Banking and Financial Markets, where he recruited across a number of business and product areas, including corporate banking, structured finance, leveraged finance and DCM.
