Walker Hamill is always looking for individuals who have previous experience in accounting and are looking for their next challenge. Successful candidates will ideally have worked in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, studying towards an accounting qualification, and be available on no more than two weeks' notice. Walker Hamill frequently works with a broad client base ranging from FTSE 100/250 blue-chip organisations to private equity-backed SMEs, spanning a range of sectors.

Description

  • Review multi-currency bank reconciliations and balances.
  • Prepare BACS, CHAPS, payment runs and allocate payments.
  • Ensure the correct and timely processing of invoices.
  • Matching, batching, and coding a high volume of invoices.
  • Assist with the month-end close.
  • Assist with the balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Prepare and post journal entries.

Skills

  • Minimum of 6 months experience in accounting.
  • IT literate - Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
  • Ideally studying towards an accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Efficient, reliable, and thorough.
