Our client is an established accountancy firm based in London seeking a Senior Accountant to join the team for an initial period of 3 months with a view to potentially extend. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who has qualified from a practice background and is comfortable with taking on a wide remit of responsibilities including managing the year-end accounts for clients as well as ad hoc projects. The ideal candidate will be available to start immediately.
Description
- Support a varied client portfolio, assisting with bookkeeping, management accounts, VAT returns and year end accounts.
- Managing year-end accounts under FRS102, Section 1A and FRS105.
- Work closely with senior team members, adopting a proactive approach to training whilst helping to continue growth and fostering our culture.
- Assist on delivering portfolio deliverables, ensuring expectations, deadlines and budgets are being met.
- Build trusted relationships with clients, liaising with them to answer general queries.
- Ensure work is completed to a high standard, ensuring expectations and deadlines are being met.
- Support the wider firm with ad hoc duties as needed.
Skills
- ACA, ACCA, CIMA qualified or equivalent.
- Prior experience using Iris Accounts Production & Business Tax Software is essential.
- Experience working on UK GAAP, FRS 102, FRS 105
- Experience with corporation tax is essential.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent computer literacy including Excel.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to function efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
